Traveling Teams & High School Teams Only

EVENT DETAILS:

• High School boys and younger age divisions.
• This event will host the most competitive teams and players in the U.S.
• Premiere SUMMER EVENT for High School boys.
• All gyms near each other
• Will have all the top Reebok and traveling teams from across the State.
• All teams will move into the championship rounds.
• Play starts Monday, June 19, 2009.
• High school rules with stop clock on all dead balls for all age divisions.
• Trophies awarded to 1st and 2nd place team members in each age division.  
• Birth date as of September 1, 2009. Boys are qualified by either grade or age.
• Registration is only $300 per team

AGE DIVISIONS: OPEN

OFFICIAL ROSTER: Each team is allowed a maximum of 15 players and three coaches on the bench. Athletes’ names and other required information must be completed on Official Roster and received at check-in prior to the beginning of the tournament.

CHECK-IN: Teams are required to report to game site, thirty minutes prior to their first scheduled tournament game.

GAME TIME: Game time is forfeit time.

PROTESTS: The Tournament Site Directors will have final ruling on any protest. No protest will be accepted on officials’ judgment calls.

OVERTIME: If required, a four (3) minute overtime period will be played. One time out per overtime period will be allowed.

HOME TEAM & VISITORS: First team listed on tournament bracket will be “Home Team.” The home team will wear light jerseys. Visitors will wear dark colored uniforms. All teams will provide practice basketball.

TOURNAMENT PASSES: There will be tournament passes for this tournament. The daily pass for age 6 to adult will be $8. Children 5 and under are free. Up to two (2) coaches will be given a wristband when checking in to the tournament.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be provided at all gyms. No outside beverages or food will be allowed including water. No gum allowed at any of the schools.

Elite Action Sports and Great American Sports have partnered up again, and is very excited about hosting the upcoming Pearland Texas Classic Tournament held April 23-25, 2010 at Pearland High School located in beautiful Pearland, Texas. Elite Action Sports would like extend a sincere welcome to all traveling summer teams and coaches that will be in attendance.

One simple thought - " people can make a difference, if you believe in your efforts". The Elite Action Sports Network through the common language of basketball is helping to prepare thousands of young people for their roles as responsible citizens and leaders in their communities. Ricky Nelson (President and Director of Academics & Boy’s Athletics), Fabian White (Director of Boys Business Operations), Howard Randle (Director of Girl’s Basketball), and Henry Sims ( Director of Boys Basketball) envisioned a global community based upon trust, respect, and an understanding of other cultures. In order to achieve this goal of assisting players in our community, they knew that direct interaction between individuals of different nations was vital. Traveling with this program allows young people to build relationships with athletics from other countries. Vision

To assist student – athletes with tutoring during group mentoring sessions, while placing an emphasis on the importance of academic achievement. Life Skills development will play a vital role in the ability of these children to make the right decisions when faced with difficult choices. Through motivation building activities and group disclosure sessions, children will enhance their self-confidence by sharing their goal and ideas, developing positive relationships with their peers, and immersing themselves in extra-curricular activities. Implementation will be the final component of the program, and will include critical thinking, problem - solving and team building games and exercises.

Personal Development (Academic & Athletic Counselor is assigned as mentor)

A) Leadership skills, goal setting, planning, decision making, problem solving, and teamwork.

B) New friendships and increased understanding of differences and similarities among all people.

C) Develop a new sense of personal responsibility while being challenged as an athlete.

**Have a passing grade in all classes every six weeks

**Successfully complete all assignment as instructed by teacher.
